FISHIES AND GENTLEMEN

Just thought I would fill you in on what has been going on lately.

HOW? Productions has really taken off, and currently is operating out of Unlucky @ Seven, Sneak @ Tramp, and French[x]ed @ ROOM680. HOW? is soon to find a new home in People @ Brown Alley, which looks to commence towards the end of July. You can catch me playing these nights either as Glass Mirrors, or more recently as Goon Bag, which is not exactly the most desirable moniker, however it would appear my el-cheapo alcoholic tendencies have stuck. Headed up by Kris Baha and Matt Whitcroft, HOW? Productions is steadily branching out and establishing itself in the Melbourne club scene. www.howproductions.com.au

Also, Pogo @ Geddes Lane, run by Streetparty is back in the swing of things again, with a massive night had this last thursday. I played, and the vibe was very cool to say the least. Le Castle Vania (USA) smashed much box, and as usual the crew played some rad music, with a very special mention to Yacht Club, those guys made me wet in the pants. www.streetparty.tv

People @ Brown Alley looks to be starting soon with a massive lineup featuring: Agent 86, Harris Robotis, Quinn Masters, Lewie Day, Sunshine, Mic Newman, Katie Drover, Glenn Rapheal, Tom Hutcheon, Moq, Tyrone, Dancefloor Terrorism, Hughston, Tom Ellis, Kris Baha, The Sargents, Adam Trace, Matt Whitcroft, Nick Corcoran and more TBA. www.p3ople.com.au

Here is a track I was sent by Sebastian Morxx, Columbia’s no. 1 ranked DJ, who played at ROOM680 a few months ago. It features the vocals of Melbourne local Maxi, who is a very talented vocalist, which I’m sure you’ll hear more of in the near future.  I hope to feature her on my new tracks, which will be finshed soon for all the fishies that are indie inclined (or more rather reclined…). This track is in a very different style to anything that I would usually post, however considering it is sitting here in my Inbox, I thought it post worthy, if only for the vocals. Look for an international release soon.

The HOW? Backroom at Frenc[x]ed @ ROOM680 is also coming along nicely, with some wild parties being had in there, and much goon being consumed by all. Well, mostly by me… There are some rad DJs playing including Glass Mirrors, LC, Matt Spinn, Moony, Kudos, Dancefloor Terrorism, Baha Jnr, Matt Whitcroft, Micky Swan + more. All you Melbourne kids come down and get your indie disco on, and I will sex your legs.

I will have more tracks and news for you soon fishies.

HOW? THE FUCK DID WE GET SO LOOSE

It has been ages since I’ve posted on here. Been rather busy, we’ve had a lot on our plate lately, many gigs, a few new productions, some others in the pieline.

But now, onto business. I’m going to introduce the HOW? crew, who have moved into our favourite stomping ground, ROOM680, and installed themselves as the new resident ghetto blasters.

They officially launched the HOW? Back To Front Room on Saturday May 10 on top of an already smashing French[x]ed night, and over the course of two weeks have totally turned it out.

They have brought a whole new crowd in, which is more on the indie tip, and very much to our liking.

They have a rock solid team of host, promoters, djs, and photographers, so we thought we might as well show some support and add HOW? as a contributor to the site.

Expect a weekly update on photos, music, fashion, and whatever it is these cats feel like posting.

They are rather cool if you couldnt tell by now.

It’s Y here from X & Y otherwise known as Glass Mirrors.
After so many kind words concerning our music from ONEWORDfish we decided to take up the invitation and become contributors to this awesome blog. Either X or myself will contribute material and we may just work on some posts together for ONEWORDfish.
