It’s been awhile since I’ve had the opportunity to sit down and actually write you something constructive. I’ve had school working me like a bitch with homework and only recently was introduced to the wonderful world of iGoogle. For those of you who don’t know what it is.. I suggest you have a gander.

So I’ve spent the majority of my time on this kick ass module sorting all of my blogs into a reader, adding little widgets and playing my own personally selected games. I discovered a game called “Trapped”. The general concept is a bloke suffering amnesia trapped in a house (or what looks to be) somewhere, for some unknown reason and you have to find the way out by picking up objects, searching rooms for clues etc. If you can withstand the guys duke nukem-esque voice and homo commentary for more than 5 minutes - your doing well. If you can find your way out of the first fucking room - your a legend.

Anywho, got some real tasty mail today from Niko de Vries aka FutureFlashs. Influenced by Retro `70 and `80 Sounds, Niko creates a modern synthetic electronic sound mixed with much space elements. You can download the two other volumes from his myspace.

Jason Forrest AKA DJ Donna Summer is an electronic musician in a variety of forms. His currently active in 3 music projects. As “Jason Forrest” he samples pop music and is in the process of completing his 5th full-length album called “Friday Night’s Alright”. “The Jason Forrest Band” consists of himself, Ethan Shaffner and Elisabeth King forming a hiphop-prog rock power tripod. His final project and most important to us “DJ Donna Summer” - brought back after a bunch of parties and mini sets @ Wasted.

If you’ve read the blog from the beginning (October ‘07) I would have already introduced to these boys. If not, don’t worry because you’ll soon be familiar with The White Dorks.

Todd (M*A*S*H) and Dan (Dan Only) are the brains behind the operation and have been since the start of high school, where - they played parties together. They describe their music as “dorkinbuzzfunkinpopelectrstuffinstuff!” or as us nerds know it: Hip hop, breaks, house (all kinds), baltimore, rock, electro and funk. They basically play a bit of everything.. trying not to discriminate.

So I asked the boys if they could chuck something together just for us.. you know maybe a little set they were already working on and dedicate it to us etc etc. But boy, I didn’t expect this - calling it a little set would an understatement. The boys show off their quick mixing skills with just over 60 tracks/acapellas/break loops. Take a listen and expect to see a lot more of the White Dorks on the blog.
