Feist gets set to release a new digital single to coincide with a UK mini-tour in May. The new single ‘I Feel It All’ will be released online as a digital bundle on May 26th which will include the album version of the song as well as mixes from Escort, Britt and Gonzales.
The video for ‘I Feel It All’ will also be included in the bundle. The views for ‘I Feel It All’ on YouTube have almost hit a million now which combined with her other videos on there make up a massive 12 million views overall. Well known for her colourful and original performance videos, Feist pushed the envelope again on this one which sees her letting off fireworks in a choreographed display to time with the music.
Feist’s album ‘The Reminder’ has now sold in excess of a million copies worldwide thanks mainly to the fact that the video for her single ‘1234′ was used in conjunction with the launch of the new ipod nano. Since then she has had a string of award nominations across the world including one for a Brit as well as for four Grammys. She also recently cleaned up at the top Canadian music event - The Juno Awards where she picked up five including ‘Album of the Year’.

I took some time out of my busy (strict study) schedule with the intentions to post some real hot tracks from blog favourites, Crookers. With all the hype generated by news of a new kickass EP titled “Mad Kidz” there were many expectations of a leak, and leaked it was. It was the nature of the leak which deterred me from posting the tracks. I was informed that while touring in Australia; Phra from Crookers had some CD’s stolen, which is led to be believed as the source of the leak. I enjoy using the word leak/ed.

I’d also like to add that - I have indeed posted leaked materials before and probably will in the future. I’m in a passionate mood and really do believe this is worth spending a bit of dosh on.

This is just fun.
Sorry haven’t had the time to post in ageeess.. took a few weeks off school for a nice little holiday, only to come back to a shitload of work and study. I’m getting ontop of it though, slowly. So expect to see alot more posts in the coming weeks.
I got a chance to watch that new movie Shutter. I never realized just how stunning Rachael Taylor actually was. As for the movie, well I basically predicted each scene.
Time to shed some light on The Ting Tings.

It has been ages since I’ve posted on here. Been rather busy, we’ve had a lot on our plate lately, many gigs, a few new productions, some others in the pieline.
But now, onto business. I’m going to introduce the HOW? crew, who have moved into our favourite stomping ground, ROOM680, and installed themselves as the new resident ghetto blasters.
They officially launched the HOW? Back To Front Room on Saturday May 10 on top of an already smashing French[x]ed night, and over the course of two weeks have totally turned it out.
They have brought a whole new crowd in, which is more on the indie tip, and very much to our liking.
They have a rock solid team of host, promoters, djs, and photographers, so we thought we might as well show some support and add HOW? as a contributor to the site.
Expect a weekly update on photos, music, fashion, and whatever it is these cats feel like posting.
They are rather cool if you couldnt tell by now.

Yes, it’s been a while… again. Four posts in April is pretty lame, and I could bore you with shitty excuses, but instead I’ll get right to making up for it with this bunch of unreal tracks, some of my definite favourites right now.
Ratatat - Germany to Germany [MediaFire]
Notorious B.I.G. - Party & Bullshit (Ratatat Remix) [MediaFire]
An old classic and great remix from, in my opinion, the best American electronic act around right now. Saw them last weekend at the Tivoli, and although some could say their music is “chilled out”, they rocked the place to its foundations. Most punters left right after them, not bothering with Regurgitator, poor guys.
Van She - Strangers [MediaFire]
Saw these guys recently as well, around the start of March. This was one of the standout “new” tracks they played from their upcoming “V” LP which should be out in June/August. Having never heard it and not knowing its name, it still stuck with me after the show, a few parts of it are really memorable.
Spencer Parker - Open Your Eyes (Surkin Remix) [MediaFire]
If you want to know what all the fuss regarding Surkin is about, cop this track. It has all the classic elements of any tune by the young French producer, the chopped vocals, driving keyboard loops and general “rave” feel make it a dance floor killer.
Roisin Murphy - Overpowered (Kris Menace Remix) [MediaFire]
Slowing things right down, Kris Menace delivers another trademark French touch track, the lovely airy synths compliment Ms. Murphy’s beautiful voice tremendously. Shit, it’s like I’m writing an English essay on adjectives here. Nonetheless it’s a nice cool alternative to the hectic Herve remix, which frankly leaves me feeling rather trepidatious.
South Rakkas Crew - Mad Again (Boy 8-Bit Remix) [MediaFire]
Something about a Jamaican(ish) fellah spittin’ on a bmore/electro beat makes me want to move. Much better musical output from the island nation than say, The Baha Men, or even Supafly.
Danger - 11h30 (Kurtech Remix) [MediaFire]
Probably my favourite Danger track gets the rework from Aussie youngster Kurtech, give him some myspace love for this terrific edit.
Feadz - Hawaian Smut [MediaFire]
Another fun track from Feadz, with some awesome vocal loops. dododo do that stuff that ya mumma calls smut!
Mr. Flash - Over The Top [MediaFire]
Uffie - Robot Oeuf [MediaFire]
Two tracks off the third Ed Banger Records Compilation, due out May 26th. The Mr. Flash track is like any other of his great tunes, just maybe a bit more “beefed up” and faster. On Robot Oeuf, Uffie churns out an atypical rhyme about mothafucka’s, partying, and generally being a scrubber, but the beat is where the money is. Not sure who produced it but sounds to me like Oizo or Feadz, very nice stuff.
So there you are, hopefully it’s not another fortnight til we next meet, I’d hate to have to do one of these huge fuckers again.
PS. If you’re from Brissy and looking for something to do on Saturday night, pop into the Valley Studios on Ann St (Next to Birdee Num Num’s). I’m support DJ for a night of local live music featuring a few stellar young Brisbane bands. And best of all, it’s BYO. Yep, for $12 entry you can bring in as much piss as you wish, even eski’s of it. Night kicks off at 7:30. More details on my myspace.
