Been after a legit copy of this one for a while, goldust. Aston Shuffle killing it with a tops remix of “the Australian D.A.N.C.E.”, (not my quote, some french knob said it”)

Pnau’s big hit, Baby… The Aston Shuffle are quite possibly the best thing to come from Canberra since Mal Meninga, and yes, I know he’s from QLD and only played for Canberra, but can you name anything else this sweet that came from our fair nation’s capital? yeah.

It’s not easy coming from France and trying to break through in the electronic music world, but when you combine the rough edges of Justice, the pure classiness and flow of Daft Punk. Some crazy hybrid is made - Danger!

As well as the amazing music coming from danger, another daft punk style touch of his work is self produced art work, similar to that of the Japanese style anime, danger has created his own character and many different scenes to put him in. So apart from some crazy artwork, and a freaky spider man looking mask. What does danger sound like?

Danger brings a whole new deck of cards to the table, instead of the usual French “Ed Banger” style, his style is hard to explain. Varying between each track, from more up tempo tracks with fantastic vocals such as 11h30 through to the meaningful deeper tracks such as 19h11. Combining old retro sounding synths with some newer sounds this man can’t do anything wrong.

One question is, why are the tracks labeled how they are? With just a rough guess at hand, I’m guessing this is the time the tracks are completed e.g 11h30 would’ve been completed at 11:30am and 19h11 at 07:11pm. The above tracks plus a couple more goodies were recently a free download on iTunes which I fortunately managed to pick up off the EP 09/14 2007. 11h30 is most definetly the highlight of the E.P

I could probably write all day about the many wonderful characters that danger hides inside, but I believe the only way for what I’ve said to gain justice is to have a listen.

39 degrees today.. which is just above 100 degrees fahrenheit for those of you playing at home.

João Miguel and Luciano Oliveira aka The Twelves are brilliant but busy Brazilians (alliteration 101). Ever since the breakthrough remix of M.I.A’s “Boyz” in 2007, both João and Luciano have received extensive press coverage in magazines, newspapers and many music related websites. This wasn’t enough though.. as we were soon to realize the boys had bigger plans, remixing such artists as Kylie Minogue, Yelle and Thieves Like Us - Which, in each case received excellent reviews. Their live show is a unique blend of live keyboards, drum machines, mash-ups and remixing on the fly. You can catch them touring with Cut Copy later this year.
