Got a few new goodies to share today - fresh outta my box.

Who is OH SNAP!!?, What is OH SNAP!!?, and mostly, Why is OH SNAP!!? These questions could take a lifetime to answer. A self-professed check-to-check millionaire and inventor of the Fab-U-Fly lifestyle, OH SNAP!! is everything that is right, and wrong with society. Not really a DJ, and not really a rapper, as both imply talent, OH SNAP!! is trying to conquer the world with his average looks, average flow, and his “you might like him, you might not like him” personality. Raised on gangster hip-hop in the suburbs of Maryland, OH SNAP!! has lived the vicarious hustler lifestyle through many of hip-hop’s greats including 50 Cent, Biggie, MC Ren, Ice Cube, Eazy E, Dre, and that other guy from NWA, I can’t remember his name though. In the past few years, OH SNAP!! has seen society plunge into a deep depression and as a Buddhist, OH SNAP!! has decided to try to cheer the world up through music. If there was only one word to describe OH SNAP!!, excluding all words SNAP!! can’t spell or understand, the word would he HAPPY. OH SNAP!!’s mission in life is to make people happy while partying their collective bootays off. OH SNAP!!’s hobbies include: being fresh, keeping it real, poppin’ AND lockin’, hustlin’, and writing haikus.

So now you know who is, we can start appreciating the ambiance he creates.

OH SNAP!! – Two Snaps With a Twist Mixx

I was recently looking up some new music, when I went to the depth of sea and fished out some of the best stuff i’ve heard in ages. I acquired a new track by 17 yr old from WA, SHAZAM, which is incredible and shows you why his remix of Musles’ Sweaty appears on the new release. Enjoy.

This, the chinese year of the rat, is looking to be a delightful year for good music, more than just lots of new stuff from Ed Banger and the like, some old favourites are returning with quality we’ve come to expect from them. Fischerspooner are finally back with a new LP due out later this year, with their first single dropping on Kitsune Maison 5. Alex Gopher has a new EP entitled Aurora on the way, with remixes from Riot in Belgium + Knightlife, Cajuan and Dada Life. They both come together for a remix of said first single, The Best Revenge. Dude’s tracks are always remarkable, The Dice is one of my all time favourites for sure.

Chew Fu, back again with more absolute fire. I’m gonna make the call right now that this guy is the hardest working remixer around right now. Nearly every week he’s got a new monster for us, with this little number arriving in the onewordfish mailbox this morning.
This time he teams up with J-Cast in remixing disco-era R’nB’er Jimmy Castor, leaves the cool vocals and sax, and adds a very hot break. I’m yet to grasp how he pulls all these off with such haste.

For my first post I would like to introduce you all to a new and up coming Electro/Indie band from Melbourne: Future Love. Influenced by Cut Copy, Datarock, The Presets, Klaxons, Midnight Juggernauts & Justice. Their sound is nothing short of unique, fun and most of all very dance able. I came across their myspace one day and straight away became a fan of their work, one track grabbing my attention was ‘Dreams’, the Fabian Remix is so good so we thought we would share it with you. As well as the Fabian Mix there is the Dancing With Voices Remix, the original and another killer song.
