Quite an eventful day for the site.
We finally set a date for our delayed OWF launch party (Prep your diaphragm!). In addition to that, I’d like to introduce red1al of the Ghettoruckus DJs as a brand new contributor here.
Continuing on with our Feature Artist of the Week segment - Chew Fu teams up with J-Cast, A-Clay & Lee Major to create this bouncy yet earsplitting sound.

Now I would not usually post about club nights on the blog but this is going to be a fun night so if any of you fishies are in Melbourne tonight we suggest coming down to Switch Thursdays @ Eve for the Pumpd Party. Not only that but you can get para with us DJing in the side room and partypartypartyhard! If you missed the 80’s Tennis Party last week make sure you don’t miss this one.
Also the ONEWORDfish launch party is coming on Thursday 28th February, with some cool interstate guests all the details on this one will be posted very soon.
We are also planing a Rooftop Party and a few other things that should be fun.

New contributor here, Brisbane dj Three Stacks. Howdy.
Right down to it then, new heat from Herve on a remix of, as far as the interwebs can tell me, a japanese band called Ink Punk Phunk. Him and the other Dubsided boys will have another killer year in 08, lots of different ep’s and remixes in the works and a nifty collaboration featuring the whole lot of ‘em called Machines Don’t Care, looking well forward to that one.

School starts Friday. Friday starts hell. Hell starts less efficient posting. Less efficient posting starts.. well you get the general idea. Anyway, if your a regular reader of Palms Out Sounds like myself you may have already experienced the musical stylings of Chew Fu. In which the beauty of this next track I’m about to present will be no surprise. I’ve heard my fair share of Sweet Dreams remixes but never have I heard one so domineering. Palms Out regularly feature Chew Fu in their “Remix Sunday” segment, so head over there for your Chewfix.

fidget;
- to move about restlessly, nervously, or impatiently.
- to cause to fidget; make uneasy.
- the condition or an instance of being nervously restless, uneasy, or impatient.
If your thinking “Ahh another fidget focused post by Waters.. this extremely handsome bloke needs to expand his horizons and post something different” well you can just leave then! Nahhh, just kidding… But to be serious with you when such quality is released; to not blog it would be a great injustice, an injustice to me, to you and to that bald bloke with the bung eye.. you know the one that serves you at safeway? Yeah that one. He wouldn’t be happy.
The kings of fidget themselves, el Crookers.
I’ve built quite the archive of Crookers remixes, sets, mini-sets and originals over the last few months. (6.2 hours worth) However, none of this can compare to their latest addition. A mini mix made for Annie Mac of Radio 1; which showcases their own banging material, a couple of classics and a kick-ass intro. brou brou brou!
Crookers - MiniMix 4 Annie Mac, Radio1(18-01-0)
Extras:
Crookers - Atomic Baile Boy
Crookers - Knobbers
Azzido Da Bass - Dooms Night (Crookers Bum rmx)
Majik Johnson - The Bushman (Crookers rmx)
Bonde Do Role - Gasolina (Crookers 2nd rmx)

Ed Banger boys Justice recently submitted their Fabriclive 37 mix to English superclub brand Fabric, only to have it rather rudely rejected. According to Fabric, it wasn’t what they were looking for, and you can assume that they were after the usual distortion fest al la MSTRKRFT etc. However Gaspard and Xavier had other ideas and submitted a mix of flawless novelty french acts and disco tracks, and many more besides.
Since Fabric would not release the mix, the boys decided to release it as their Xmas Ed Banger mix. It is well worth the listen if you haven’t already, and is one of the most original mixes we have heard in quite a while.

Here is one of the our favorite tracks from the wonderful time that was the 80s. It is Push It To The Limit, it featured in the Al Pacino masterpiece, Scarface, and is simply a great song for cruising roof down in your favorite Italian sportscar. The song was produced and composed by the legend of all things synthpop and eurodisco, Giorgio Moroder, and was performed by Paul Engemann.
So hear it is, next time you find yourself snorting cocaine with beautiful women and counting rolls upon rolls of money, play this song.
We love this old classic and we know you will too, if you don’t already.
Hello. It’s Y here guys and girls. I was bored so I recorded a little mix a few hours ago for all of you. It’s nothing special but I do like the tracks, and I thought that you might too.
Also I have a few things to inform you about. The dotcom domain will be up and running again soon, which will be a relief. Also X and myself have taken it upon ourselves to do a regular set of mixes under the banner of the X & Y Sessions. This will feature two mixes, the X mix and the Y mix, which will be recorded by each of us accordingly, and will feature all the latest goodies that we here at ONEWORDfish have laid our hands on, and some of the songs that we have been playing out lately.
Apart from this, we have much more important news.
Very soon we will be throwing a (much delayed) ONEWORDfish launch party here in Melbourne, which will feature some very cool cats indeed. We will have more details on this soon. In the meantime have a listen to the mix I’ve put up as a sort of temporary fuckbuddy until the domain comes through and we can kick the blog off again post haste.
